Grow Into The IC Before The MC

The IC (Imum Coeli) is the other part of the MC (Midheaven) axis, with an equal amount of importance as the top of the chart. The IC has more to do with our roots and the home we were born into, although it very much does have to do with these things; the IC is our deepest inner selves. So I will get straight to the point.

By aspiring to get in touch with our selves on the very deepest, core level of our heart and soul, then will begin the willingness to sprout and blossom into the people we aspire to be at the very top of our chart. Without the willingness to face the parts of our inner selves where we have the most fear, the most pride, the most power, then while looking ahead towards our future (MC) it can be very easy to lose sight of who we are and what it is we really truly want from life, and who we really want to be. Without getting in touch with the IC before aspiring too far ahead, we can easily set ourselves up for failure or end up in situations where we never intended, or where we put our expectations too high on the pedestal only to come crashing down in our face.

I will briefly go over each IC sign aspiring to become their best MC sign:

• Aries IC/LibraMC: You are by nature a very driven and determined person who lives by your instincts and intuition above all else. From a very young age you learned that you had no one to defend you or fight for your safety in this world, so you learned to do it on your own. You may have had very difficult relationships with your mother and father due to some type of aggressive behaviors that left you a traumatized, helpless, weary child. You realized that this lifestyle was something that you could never want to become, and around all the difficulties, you decided to man(or woman) up and stop relying on others to make you feel safe. Because if you were going to survive and do something bold in life, you had to learn to fend for yourself. This way of thinking has made you a very strong, intense and powerful individual which are your most personal strengths throughout the rest of your life. As an Aries IC you know exactly what it feels like to be left alone, to feel helpless and have no one to be there for you when you’re at your worst, or when you could use some encouragement. So as a Libra MC, you are determined to do whatever it takes to prevent others to have to experience this type of torment. If you are able to help it you are willing to put yourself in situations where you defend others. Sometimes this means one will choose to go into politics, wanting to be a lawyer, or simply a counselor for others. But this is usually a need to go bigger than one-on-one therapy. You want to encourage strength and compassion. Above anything, you don’t want anyone’s freedom or independence to be taken away unjustly, so you will fight for this for anyone you care for, and especially those who are mistreated in life, which is the mark you leave in the world.
• Taurus IC/Scorpio MC: You are by nature very mature, patient, and slow to speak waiting until you know it’s your turn. Growing up, you may have been very close to your mother. So close that you may have taken on many or some of her personal interests or pursuits she has been involved with her whole life; taking on some form of her moral beliefs. Your mother was probably strict in some areas, or perhaps very unchangeable in her beliefs. Even so, you were able to have financial security, almost never having to fear being without a home, or being without food on the table. As you were young and growing, you learned immediately the meaning of what it means to be a family, what it means to count on those related to you. Even if there may have been relatives, or even a parent who were distant and/or aggressive, you still knew how to remember and cherish the good times among the bad. In your heart you could feel frustrated with lack of family involvement, but you also stayed strong and accepted the good times as they came. Your tendency to keep your emotions to yourself made you a bit reserved and sometimes you may have wished you were able to express them more. As a Scorpio MC, you are driven to branch out this learned ability to form emotional attachments with those close to your heart, and you are inspired to use your sensual energy to draw others towards you. You want to make others drawn to you so that they can learn how to let thier guard down and to become emotionally vulnerable with you. You are often prone to having many transforming, personal and intense encounters with others, you always take all of the pleasures deep into your heart, and you leave major impacts on the people who come into your life.
• Gemini IC/Sagittarius MC: You are by nature witty and clever and probably have been the clown in your family, the one who makes everyone laugh with something unique and hilarious that you came up with yourself. You love to share your ideas and you had a way to provoke others into reacting to your humor or sarcasm, sometimes even making them want to hit you if you didn’t shut up…maybe. But still you were very active, mentally and intellectually. You relationship with your parents may have been very confusing or misleading. Maybe some days they seemed like a decent married couple, and other days they were threatening to divorce, almost never making up their minds. Or, if you were just with one parent, that parent may have made you feel ignored and not cherish your brilliant ideas as much as you would have liked. Whether this scenario is different for all of the Gemini ICs, you could have been given many broken promises. E.g. being told you’d go somewhere together, but suddenly it never happened. Disappointment. As a Sagittarius MC, you are just as intelligent and ingenious as you know you are without the need for acknowledgment. Instead of seeking that praise, you inspire others to find their own talents. To look to the things to be proud of, to never feel defeated by the worst of others when ‘you are always your best regardless of what anyone else says.’ Optimism and spiritual outlook on life becomes your mark in the world.
• Cancer IC/Capricorn MC: You are by nature very loving and tender. You are so empathetic, that any kind of harm in the world could be extremely unsettling. You are so sensitive that you never ever want anyone to feel hurt, unloved, or unincluded. Growing up you may have been very nurtured by your mother and father (or the one who raised you), and very much taken care of. Your needs may have been met, but your instincts to be your own disciplined individual may have been blinded. One or both of your parents could have always been too giving and self-sacrificing. Your mother or father may have been extremely generous people which has amplified your empathic abilities. To feel for others first is what you have always known. But when do you say “No”? Perhaps that was a lesson that was forgotten to have been taught soon enough. Through your parents being overly compassionate, you may have witnessed them being taken advantage of frequently and never speaking up about it. So now, as a Capricorn MC, as you grow into yourself you choose to use your generosity and compassion to be an authority figure in the lives of others. You want to encourage the people around you that compassion and tender hearted-ness is something the world needs more of, but to ‘never let anyone put you down, or to take advantage of you.’ You have a strong voice and a deep calling for instilling discipline in others, to make sure others know how to defend for themselves no matter what. At best your authority and compassion will leave a major impact on the people you encounter.
• Leo IC/Aquarius MC: You by nature are a very fun-loving and cheerful character. You value friendship even in familial relationships. By being playful and creative as a child you sparked joy and enthusiasm within the family. You were dramatic and often putting on a show to make them laugh. Your big heart was something that has always made you considerate. Maybe you were into arts and were born with a talent for drawing, painting, or even acting. Perhaps your relationship with your parents or family were sometimes fun and adventurous, silly and creative. But it’s also more likely that one or both of your parents made you feel like you were just too childish and even annoying. Maybe there were interests and passions you had that your family made you believe were just too eccentric and too original. And this may have created anxiety in you to express your passion and love of the arts. It may have made you want to detach from what you truly love. As an Aquarius MC, you know very much this fear of not being free to express your individuality. So you choose to never reflect that type of response onto others. In fact, the biggest way to piss you off is even to watch someone talk down to someone for simply expressing what they care about, as long as it isn’t doing harm. You are non-judgmental, open minded and independent. You want the world to know that your air of confidence of your eccentric nature is exactly what makes you stand out and different yet apart of the whole. This is how you inspire others.
• Virgo IC/Pisces MC: You by nature are sensitive, reclusive, careful and kind. In your family as you grew, you may have been very attentive to everyone around you, choosing not to have much of an opinion, as long as everyone was taken care of might have been your number one priority. Perhaps, your parents, one or the other(or both) were very ill in your life, and you ended up taking on the role of the caregiver in some way, choosing to help them run errands, do the dishes, bring them their medications, etc. Or if you had many other siblings and were the oldest, you might have taken on the responsibility of getting them to school and such places while your sick parent was home or having too many issues to perform at their best. You are a very sincere and giving person, but maybe in your home your actions were probably objectified and you may have felt unappreciated very much. Maybe you began to feel like someone’s dog but even then you were only able to remain loyal because you cared so much. As a Pisces MC, while you grow into yourself, at your best you learn that it’s okay to not tend to everyone’s needs, and to just be kind. Because not everything you do will be appreciated and you beileve that you should have no responsibility for what they are struggling with on the physical plane. You encourage compassion, sincerity and love. You you be very sacrifing and willing to be helpful when you’re able to, but whenever you’re able to you may try to avoid it. You are one of the most sincere and compassionate people who impact the lives of others, and you present yourself this way. Silly and a bit eccentric, but you choose to appreciate yourself and encourage others to always love themselves. And this is your mark in the world.
